The annual Black and White Ball began 38 years ago as a venue by the greater Milwaukee Urban League (GMUL) to bring together business and community leaders and representatives across race, gender, and religion for an elegant evening - an evening of fun, entertainment, dancing, and fellowship.

GMUL believes genuine change and urban economic empowerment occur through diverse partnerships, collaborative efforts, and an equitable playing field.
